The deeper-pool discovery is located in Section 31-51n-71w, about half a mile northwest of an inactive Lower Cretaceous Muddy well in Springen Ranch Field. Fancher's well is producing through perforations at 9,508-10 ft. in Minnelusa "B" sand. 6 Pinnacle Oil International Inc., Calgary, reports the first exploratory well drilled on its 10-square-mile Poblano Prospect in Sublette County, Wyo., has been tested flowing gas and condensate from sands in the Cretaceous Mesaverde Group. The new-field discovery is operated by Pinnacle's U.S. joint venture partner, CamWest Exploration LLC. It's the #1-28 Poblano Federal located in Section 28-28n-107w, about 7 miles southeast of Jonah field. Initial production rates ranged between 1.2 million to 2.4 million cu. ft. of gas per day, with condensate ranging between 5 and 30 bbl. per million cu. ft. of gas. The well, set up as a 12,000-ft. test to Cretaceous Lance, encountered more than 160 gross feet of multiple stacked channel sands below Lance sands in the Mesaverde Group. Pinnacle, through CamWest, holds a combination 16.875% working interest and 2.4% net overriding royalty interest in the discovery and on the exploration block. 7 Jonah Field in Sublette County gained two Lance gas producers recently, reports IHS Energy Group. Flow gauge was 6 million cu. ft. per day at the Forest Oil Corp. #23-13 Elm-Federal on the southwestern flank of the field in Section 23-28n-109w. Denver-based Forest, which has a 64% working interest in the well, tested two Lance intervals above 9,700 ft. The company encountered 1,600 ft. of gross Lance formation, including 405 ft. of net pay. Five additional Lance zones are to be production tested. The eastern flank of Jonah Field is the location of the #9-25 Cabrito Unit, completed by Amoco Production Co. flowing 3.5 million cu. ft. of gas per day on a 32/64-in. choke. The well in Section 25-29n-108w is producing from 12 Lance intervals between 8,982-12,180 ft. 8 The Exxon Corp. #2 Love Ranch is a Rio Blanco County, Colo., discovery completed to flow nearly 3.2 million cu. ft. of gas and 328 bbl. of water per day on a 20/64-in. choke. Located in Section 9-2s-97w, the opener of Love Ranch Field is producing through perforations between 8,204-11,700 ft. in Mesaverde.
