Weatherford International Plc has been awarded a five-year contract with Bapco Energy subsidiary Bapco Upstream to deliver the services directional drilling and logging while drilling in Bahrain.
The contract replaces Weatherford’s old drilling services contract it was awarded in 2015.
“Weatherford has performed drilling services in Bahrain since 2016, and this award reaffirms our partnership [with Bapco Energy] and further showcases the value of our comprehensive drilling portfolio and cutting-edge digital capabilities,” said Girish Saligram, Weatherford’s president and CEO.
Weatherford will use its full suite of drilling technologies alongside its Centro well construction optimization platform to deliver reservoir-characterization data and maximize Bapco Energies’ efficiencies cost effectively.
