Trillion Energy is maintaining its 2024 production guidance for its South Akcakoca Sub-Basin gas field in the Black Sea, despite revising its timing to facilitate the evaluation of alternative pump types and installation, the company said in a Jan. 18 update.
Trillion is pushing forward its drilling program timeline by three months, as some of the pumps it received require the remanufacture of well heads to install. Based on advice received from third-party consultant GLJ, Trillion is now in the process of ordering pumps, wellheads and new tubing to address issues with water loading. Well heads have been ordered and first deliveries are expected in February 2024.
Even with delays, Trillion maintained its production guidance of 7.547 MMcf/d before royalties for the initial six wells in 2024. The drilling program will start with the Akcakoca platform wells in the first quarter, followed by the two tripod wells in early second quarter 2024. Trillion also aims to fit an additional two or three legacy wells with pumps, bringing the total to eight producing wells.
