Calgary, Alberta-based Trans Mountain Corp.’s board of directors has appointed current Chief Financial and Strategy Officer Mark Maki to CEO of the company, effective Sept. 1.
Maki succeeds Dawn Farrell, who will take William Downe’s place as chairman of the board of directors following Downe’s retirement on Sept. 1.
The board also appointed Michael Davies to the role of president on top of his current position of COO, also effective Sept. 1. Davies will report to Maki.
Maki has been the CFO of Trans Mountain since 2020 and has over 30 years of experience in the midstream energy industry, including serving as president of Enbridge Energy Partners LP.
In his new role, Maki will oversee Trans Mountain’s next strategic plans, including finalizing the long-term toll rate, the company’s capital structure, growth opportunities and the divestment process.
Davies is currently the chairman of the board of the Western Canada Marine Response Corp.
