TotalEnergies signed a majority agreement with union organizations CFE-CGC and CFDT for a salary increase package for 7% of salaries in 2023, a company press release announced on Oct. 14.
The company has been facing strikes at its French facilities over the past few weeks from these two organizations, in addition to CGT. However, the company was unable to come to terms with CGT, according to Reuters.
Under the agreement, all workers and technicians will receive a general increase of 5% with a salary floor of €2,000, paid from December. Additionally, all executives will be guaranteed an increase of 3.5% and a minimum increase of €2,000, the company stated.

The agreement will also provide a floor of €3,000 and ceiling of €6,000 for the value sharing bonus of one month's salary to be paid in December.
General and guaranteed increases will be retroactive to Jan. 11, 2022.
TotalEnergies is calling for an end to the strikes on its sites due to this agreement. According to Reuters, CGT has ended its strike at the Exxon Mobil facilities but plans to continue strikes against TotalEnergies despite the agreement reached with CFE-CGC and CFDT.
