TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA said May 12 it acquired 4C Offshore Ltd., a leading market intelligence and consultancy firm, providing research and insights to the offshore wind industry.
The acquisition of 4C Offshore, according to TGS CEO Kristian Johansen, is the company’s first following the launch of its New Energy Solutions business earlier this year to pursue opportunities related to the energy transition.
“The strengths of 4C Offshore fit perfectly with TGS’ ambition to become the leading global provider of energy data and insights to support decision-making processes across the energy value chain,” Johansen said in a statement on May 12.
