Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will join the governors panel at the 2023 NAPE Summit Energy Business Conference on Feb. 1, a press release announced on Jan. 12.
Abbott will join Oklahoma Gov. J. Kevin Stitt and Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon to discuss trends, issues and opportunities impacting the energy market.
All three governors are incumbents reelected in the November midterm elections, with Stitt and Gordon serving their second terms in office and Abbott serving his third. The Texas economy has grown to approximately $2 trillion during Abbott's terms in office, according to the release.
During his time in office, Stitt hopes to implement policies that will improve Oklahoma's job growth, infrastructure and education. Likewise, Gordon has lead efforts to diversify Wyoming's technology, finance, agriculture, energy, research, education and tourism sectors.
"Our speaker lineup for the Energy Business Conference is one of the best we’ve ever assembled with three incumbent governors, three company CEOs and founders, two market intelligence experts, three featured technical presentations, a senior investment manager from Texas’ largest public pension fund and the president of one of the biggest energy investment banks," David R. Cape, chair of the NAPE Operators Committee, commented in the release.
The 30th annual NAPE Summit will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston from Feb. 1-3. Conference attendees can attend events such as the Prospect Previews, Renewable Energy Pavilion, Job Fair, Government Affairs Session and more.
"The 2023 Summit marks NAPE’s 30th anniversary, and we are celebrating the big deal — NAPE style," NAPE vice president Le'Ann Callihan said. "In addition to our traditional oil and gas prospects and new Governors Panel, NAPE is adding a ’90s style concert at our popular Icebreaker reception, a Bitcoin Mining Pavilion on the expo floor and the new NAPE Hall of Fame."
