Tallgrass Pony Express Pipeline, LLC, announced April 28 that the company will be hosting two binding open seasons. These open seasons will be active for 30 days beginning May 1, 2023. During these open seasons, Tallgrass announced that the company will be seeking commitments from crude oil shippers for the Pony Express Pipeline and acreage dedications.
The Pony Express Pipeline moves crude oil from the Guernsey, Wyoming area, in the Denver-Julesburg Basin, to multiple points around Cushing, Oklahoma. The pipeline has a capacity of 230,000 bbl/d. In addition, the pipeline transports oil from points along the Northeast Colorado Lateral. The capacity along these points is 90,000 bbl/d.
Tallgrass Energy is an energy infrastructure company based out of Denver, Colorado. It is mostly owned by an investor group by the name of Blackstone Infrastructure Partners.
