Superior Energy Services Inc. President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Brian Moore is stepping down from his positions effective Aug. 19, the company announced Aug. 15.
David Lesar has been appointed to CEO and chairman of the board effective Aug. 19. Lesar has executive leadership experience at a number of energy companies, including Halliburton Co. and CenterPoint Energy Inc.
Superior’s board of directors also appointed James (“Jim”) Brown to president and COO. Brown was Halliburton’s Western Hemisphere president for over 10 years.
“Superior represents a unique platform to capitalize on both the opportunities as well as the challenges inherent in the sector,” Lesar said. “Jim and I look forward to working with the talented employees of Superior as we continue to strive to provide the best service possible to our customers.”
