Subsea 7 was awarded a subsea contract offshore West Africa valued between $50 million and $150 million, according to a May 21 press release.
Under the contract, Subsea 7 will transport and install flexible pipelines, umbilicals and associated subsea components for the connection of an FPSO vessel, the release stated.
The company said it will also be responsible for the pre-laying activities for an upcoming drilling campaign.
Project management and engineering work will begin immediately at Subsea 7’s offices in Sutton, U.K. and Suresnes, France. Offshore activity is expected to start in 2026, Subsea 7 said.
“Our close and agile collaboration with our clients allows us to make possible cost-effective and reliable offshore solutions for their needs. We are pleased to be able to support this client in executing such a strategically important project in West Africa,” said Jerome Perrin, vice president of Africa, Middle East and Türkiye operations for Subsea 7.
In February, Subsea 7 and Saipem agreed to merge and create an offshore energy services company called Saipem7 with annual revenue of approximately 20 billion euros (US$21 billion).
