With the evolving ESG landscape and increasing calls from oil and gas investors to address ESG concerns, Quantum Energy Partners is working on building sustainable companies to ensure a responsible transition to net-zero emissions.
“We work with companies…we help them understand their capabilities on how to they can digitize and automate their processes, which works hand-in-hand with ESG,” Keila Hand, head of ESG at Quantum, told Hart Energy in an exclusive video on how the leading private equity firm evaluates ESG awareness while making investments.
As the head of ESG for one of the leading private equity firms, Hand often gets asked by companies what Quantum’s specific ESG requirements are if there are any minimum ESG expectations. Although Quantum thoroughly evaluates the company’s ESG understanding, she explained that the firm closely works with companies in addressing their ESG goals.
Right from the time of screening an opportunity, which could be investment in a new or existing business, Hand said Quantum looks at the management’s ESG awareness and their understanding and ability to address ESG goals. She also stressed on the need for companies to integrate ESG into their day-to-day operations.
“If you implement ESG initiatives separate from the operations, the likelihood of success is very low,” she said.
Keila Hand is our keynote speaker at Hart Energy’s Energy ESG Conference that will be held on April 27 in Dallas. Register here!
