Oklo Inc. announced it has received letters of intent to deliver up to 750 megawatts (MW) of nuclear power to data centers in the U.S.
The California-based nuclear power company, which didn’t name the providers, said its customer pipeline has expanded to 2,100 MW.
In addition to the two new letters of intent, Oklo has nonbinding letters from companies including Diamondback Energy Inc., Centrus Energy Corp. and Prometheus Hyperscale. It is advancing plans to deliver a fission plant to supply the Idaho National Laboratory. The plans call for recycled nuclear material to fuel the plant, which would be the first of its kind in the U.S.
Oklo’s Aurora plants are designed to produce 15 MW to 50 MW directly at the sites that use the power. The company anticipates deployment of its first plant by 2027, spokeswoman Bonita Chester said in an email.
