Natron Energy has appointed Wendell Brooks as the sodium ion battery technology company’s new CEO, Natron said in a Dec. 17 press release.
Brooks brings more than 30 years of experience in leading technology companies and led a $4.5 billion venture portfolio as the president of Intel Capital before joining Natron Energy.
He most recently served alongside founder Colin Wessells as co-CEO in a transitional period. Wessells will now jump into a new role as chief technology and product officer.
Natron recently opened a commercial-scale, sodium-ion manufacturing facility in Michigan in 2024 and has plans for a giga-scale manufacturing facility in North Carolina, Brooks said in the press release.
“I am honored to assume business leadership as Natron moves to fulfill the strong demand for our sodium-ion battery product,” said Brooks. “Colin and I have a strong partnership and we are excited to bring new focus to customers and product development respectively.”
