Arbuckle at about 8,400 ft. and a number of deep zones in a repeated sequence are to be tested, with Deep Arbuckle at about 19,625 ft. being the deepest. Earlier this year, the company staked a similar test at the #1 McKenzie in Section 25-5n-12w, a little more than a mile to the south. The #1 McKenzie has a projected depth of 20,650 ft. 7 Another high-volume gas well, a horizontal one, flowed 24.052 million cu. ft. per day when tested recently by The GHK Co., Oklahoma City, in Oklahoma's Potato Hills region, reports IHS Energy Group. The company's #2-6 London, Section 6-2n-20e, Pushmataha County, was drilled and cased to a measured total depth of 5,981 ft. (4,308 ft., true vertical depth). Located near a Lower Mississippian Jackfork well that's producing from 4,754-69 ft., GHK's well is producing through perforations at 4,543-53 ft., 5,264-70 and 5,930-40 ft. Production tests were conducted through two 48/64-in. chokes. 8 A delineation drilling program that Phillips Petroleum Co. has under way in Hemphill County, Texas' Howe Ranch North Field has resulted in the #6 McQuiddy H being completed flowing 14.4 million cu. ft. of gas per day. The flow of gas was gauged on a 32/64-in. choke through perforations in Pennsylvanian Upper Morrow at 11,995-12,009 ft. The new producing well is in Section 6, Block 1, G&M Survey, A-436. 9 Kadane Corp., Dallas, drilled the #1 David-Bert Unit, an exploratory test a half-mile from production in two fields in Hardeman County, Texas, and completed it flowing 192 bbl. of oil and 40,000 cu. ft. of gas per day. The extension, in Section 2, EL&RR (A. A. Biggs) Survey, A-1188, yielded the flow on an 8/64-in. choke from two perforated intervals in Mississippian, one between 8,085-8,134 ft. and the other at 8,157-61 ft. It's located southeast of Berry West Field and west of Berry Field. 10 The opener of Sunlight II Field in Nolan County, Texas, was confirmed by Sinclair Oil Corp., Salt Lake City, at the #2 Brooks, which yielded 52 bbl. of oil and 82 bbl. of water, with 13,000 cu. ft. of gas, per day at completion. IHS Energy Group says the well is producing through perforations at 5,630-5,706 ft. in Pennsylvanian Canyon Reef. A quarter-mile north-northwest is the discovery, Sinclair's #1 Brooks, that was completed flowing 174 bbl. of oil and 100,000 cu. ft. of gas per day on a 12/64-in. choke from Canyon Reef at 5,627-72 ft.
