Richard Roedel, LSB Industries Inc.’s chairman of the board of directors, is retiring from his position effective immediately, the company announced in an Aug. 12 press release, citing personal health reasons.
LSB President and CEO Mark Behrman will serve as the new chairman of the board as Roedel’s replacement.
"Over the past decade, [Roedel’s] extensive experience and knowledge have been a valuable asset as we've transformed the company,” Behrman said in the announcement. “We move forward well-positioned in our pursuit of growth and our vision of becoming a leader in the global energy transition thanks to Rich's contributions. We wish him all the best in his retirement."
Board member Lynn White has been appointed to lead independent director.
LSB Industries produces low carbon products across the agricultural, industrial and mining end markets.
