LNG Canada received an LNG tanker cargo, signaling the project is close to starting production, the company announced April 2.
The tanker, Maran Gas Roxana, arrived with an LNG cargo for offloading at the facility in Kitimat on the west coast of Canada. LNG liquefication facilities typically inject pre-cooled, liquified gas at startup to speed up and economize the process.
The company expects to start exporting LNG by the middle of 2025. The plant will start at a capacity of 14 million tons of LNG a year.
