The JV between New Era Helium and Sharon AI signed the nonbinding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Power Forward Energy Solutions (PFES), a JV between Progen Industries, a manufacturer of natural gas-fired generators, and MBS Engineering.
Under the MOU, PFES will manufacture, install and operate systems capable of generating 250 megawatts at the Ector County site.
According to the press release, the project backers are working on due diligence and planning for the air permit. The JV is working toward the next project milestones, including the acquisition of a potential natural gas supply.
