Global Warming Solutions Inc. (GWSO) and hydrogen technology developer AQST-USA submitted a proposal for federal grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the development of an on-demand hydrogen and electricity generation system, according to a July 19 GWSO press release.
The energy generation system, EcoHydroGen, can be used for many applications, including transportation, power generation and industrial use.
“We are honored to have been invited to present our proposal to the NSF,” Raymond Caldas said, CEO of AQST-USA. “This is a significant endorsement of our technology and our team, and it demonstrates the potential of EcoHydroGen to make a real difference in the fight against climate change.”
GWSO and AQST-USA are confident EcoHydroGen will secure the necessary funding to go to market with the recent $750 million dedicated by the Biden-Harris Administration and the U.S. Department of Energy to research and develop efforts to reduce the cost of clean hydrogen.
“We believe that EcoHydroGen© has the potential to be a major commercial success,” said Caldas. “The green sector is growing rapidly, and there is a significant demand for clean and efficient hydrogen production technologies.”
