The well is in Lewis Green Survey, A-934. 5 Two Mississippian Barnett Shale discoveries completed by Hallwood Energy Corp., Houston, in Johnson County, Texas, have been completed producing gas. Tested on a 10/64-in. choke, the #1 S. Mann, Keelen Williams Survey, A-884, flowed 824,000 cu. ft. of gas and 37 bbl. of water per day through perforations between 7,027-7,226 ft. About two miles northwest, Hallwood tapped Barnett Shale for a flow of 625,000 cu. ft. of gas and 49 bbl. of water per day at the other discovery-the #1 E. Brown in Thomas W. Baird Survey, A-39. A 14/64-in. choke was used to test the well through perforations at 7,023-27 ft. 6 Gray Branch Minerals LLC, McKinney, Texas, has run pipe to total depth 4,500 ft. at the #1 Gary Hamm, a remote wildcat in Hopkins County, Texas. According to IHS Energy Group, there are no producing wells within nine miles of the prospect, which is in William H. Ravey Survey, A-818. 7 Red Loop Field was established in Rusk County, Texas, when Carr Resources Inc. finaled the #1 Light flowing 125 bbl. of oil and 39 bbl. of water per day from Lower Cretaceous Rodessa. Kilgore, Texas-based Carr tested the discovery through perforations at 7,398-7,404 ft. About 0.25-mile southeast, Carr confirmed the new-field opener with the completion of the #2 Light that flowed 80 bbl. of oil and 35 bbl. of water per day from 7,361-69 ft. Carr used a 48/64-in. choke to test both wells, which are in Elihu S. Davis Survey, A-250. 8 A discovery completed by 3Tec Energy Corp., Houston, on the east side of Chandeleur Sound Block 68 offshore St. Bernard Parish, La., has been tested for a flow of 10.544 million cu. ft. of gas and 100 bbl. of water per day, with a trace of oil. The #1 State Lease 17122 was gauged on a 26/64-in. choke and produces from Textularia "W," perforated at 9,185-9,215 ft. It's the first producer completed among 12 tests drilled on the block. 9 The Land & Natural Resources Development Co.-operated #1 Lucy Lee, a discovery in St. Helena Parish, La., flowed 291 bbl. of oil, 662,000 cu. ft. of gas and 220 bbl. of water per day on a 14/64-in. choke, reports 25% working interest owner Maxy Oil & Gas Inc., Vancouver. The opener of Church Creek Field in Section 50-1s-5e, the well was tested in Upper Cretaceous Tuscaloosa "A" Sand at about 12,800 ft. In addition to Tuscaloosa, logs indicated a Frio gas sand at about 3,600 ft. to be potentially productive as well. The formation is to be evaluated by drilling a shallow test in the near future. And, a second Tuscaloosa test is scheduled to be drilled in the field. The discovery is the first project resulting from the recently formed Maxy-KLC Investments joint venture. Land and Natural Resources Development is based in Tuscaloosa, Ala. 10 The Houston firm of Goodrich Petroleum Corp. says a discovery on its Sullivan East prospect at West Delta Block 83 Field offshore Plaquemines Parish, La., has logged 82 ft. of net pay in three separate zones. Goodrich owns a 65% working interest in the #1 State Lease 1009, which was drilled to approximately 10,900 ft. and cased after finding pay in the 10,100-ft., 10,500-ft. "A" and 10,500-ft. "B" sands. Plans are to drill an additional 200 ft. to test the MF Sand. The #1 State Lease 1009 is the first well drilled in a multiwell drilling program scheduled for Burrwood and West Delta Bock 83 fields since the company acquired a 41-square-mile 3-D seismic survey over the fields late last year.
