Exxon Mobil Corp. has named Sherri Evers as general manager for North America Lubes, effective March 1, according to a Jan. 10 press release.
Evers currently serves as Imperial Oil’s senior vice president of sustainability, commercial development and product solutions. Exxon holds 69.6% ownership in Imperial, Canada’s second-largest oil integrated company.
Evers has been with Calgary, Alberta-based Imperial since 1998 and accomplished various assignments within the company’s downstream business, including the Strathcona renewable diesel project, Imperial said.
Evers began a series of global assignments with Exxon related to product optimization, planning and supply network before returning to Imperial as the Eastern Canada fuels manager for Downstream in 2018.
Her leadership was also “critical” for Imperial’s plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at its operations, said Brad Corson, chairman, president and CEO of Imperial.
“She was instrumental in the formation of the Pathways Alliance to reduce emissions from oil sands operations and has been an active participant on the steering committee,” Corson said.
