Equinor ASA announced on March 22 Executive Vice President for Technology, Digital & Innovation (TDI) Carri Lockhart has decided to resign from the Norwegian energy firm to return to the U.S.
“I thank Carri for her contributions in the CEC [corporate executive committee], her effort to establish the TDI business area and her commitment to develop Equinor’s technology agenda. I wish her all the best in future,” CEO Anders Opedal commented in a company release.
Lockhart was recently named one of Hart Energy’s Oil and Gas Investor “25 Influential Women in Energy” honorees for 2022 and will be honored at the fifth annual Women in Energy luncheon on April 29 at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston.
She joined Equinor in 2016 and has held several senior leadership roles in Norway and the U.S. before joining the company’s corporate executive committee in June 2021.
The process to appoint the new executive vice president for TDI has been initiated and will be communicated when concluded, according to the company release.
Senior Vice President Elisabeth Birkeland Kvalheim has been appointed acting executive vice president for TDI, effective March 22. Lockhart will be available for the company “to secure a good handover” until June 30, the release said.
