Steve Greenlee has retired as president of Exxon Mobil Upstream Business Development Co. He will be succeeded by Linda DuCharme, who will also retain her current position as president of Exxon Mobil Upstream Integrated Solutions Co. Additionally, DuCharme has been elected as vice president of Exxon Mobil Corp.
Robert Trice, CEO of Hurricane Energy, has resigned. He will be succeeded by Beverley Smith, a nonexecutive director with Hurricane since late last year.
David (Dave) Cherechinsky has been named CEO of NOW Inc. He will succeed Dick Alario, who will continue working alongside Cherechinsky for a brief transition period.
BP Southern Africa Ltd. has appointed Taelo Mojapelo CEO. She will succeed Priscillah Mabelane, who has left the company to pursue another opportunity.
Beach Energy Ltd. has appointed Ian Grant CEO.
Acteon Group Ltd. has appointed Dr. Carl Trowell group CEO, succeeding Richard Higham.
Anthony Marino has stepped down as president, CEO and director of Vermilion Energy Inc., and Lorenzo Donadeo has been appointed executive chairman.
Dril-Quip Inc. has promoted Jeffrey J. Bird to president and COO and Raj Kumar to vice president and CFO.
Calvin Bancroft has been appointed COO of Excelerate Energy.
Infrastructure Networks Inc. (INET) has named Nick Anderson CFO. Greg Smith will move into a special advisory role to assist with the transition of duties.
Walter K. Compton, executive vice president and general counsel of Murphy Oil Corp., has retired from the company. He will be succeeded by E. Ted Botner, who currently serves as vice president of law and corporate secretary. In addition to assuming new responsibilities, Botner will continue his current duties under the new title of senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Lem Smith has joined API as vice president of upstream policy.
Sparrows Group has promoted Adam Wood to senior vice president of the Americas region.
AccessESP has welcomed William Standifird as vice president of customer success.
Jon Lederman has taken on the newly created position of vice president of artificial intelligence at Rajant Corp.
Danos has named Renee Piper vice president of marketing, strategy and community affairs, and Nicole Williams has taken over the leadership of the marketing and communication department.
Kristine Wiley has been named director of the Hydrogen Technology Center at GTI.
Neptune Energy has appointed Mehdi Bouguetaia managing director of Algeria.
Jon Powell has joined Charter Dura-Bar as application engineer of oil and gas. Also, David Green has been promoted to regional sales manager of the Southwest division.
Russell Holmes, former U.S. Coast Guard captain, has been named director of the Center for Offshore Safety (COS). He will succeed Charlie Williams, who recently retired after leading the COS throughout its first decade.
Martin Gilbert has been named chair of the Oil and Gas Technology Centre (OGTC). He will succeed Archie Kennedy, who has served as vice chair and chair of the OGTC since its establishment in 2017.
Laredo Petroleum has appointed William (Bill) Albrecht independent chairman of the board, succeeding Laredo’s founder, Randy Foutch.
COMPANIES
Eni has announced overhaul of its corporate structure, creating a separate division called Energy Evolution focused on green energy.
Pure Acquisition Corp. has announced plans to merge with HighPeak Energy, which will continue operating as an independent oil and gas company. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2020.
ConocoPhillips Co. has completed the sale of its northern Australian business to partner Santos Ltd.
Prius Intelli, a new company formed by aerial imagery pioneers Hunter Herren and Josh Vinyard, provides clear and detailed surface imagery to oil and gas companies for planning infrastructure.
