Energy Transfer LP’s subsidiary Gulf Run Transmission LLC received FERC approval to begin servicing natural gas demand along the Gulf Coast and internationally, Energy Transfer announced Dec. 15 in a press release.
Located in Louisiana, the 42-inch pipeline is 135 miles long and has a capacity of 1.65 Bcf/d. It connects to Energy Transfer’s intrastate and interstate pipeline network and receives natural gas from the Haynesville Shale.
All major natural gas basins in the U.S. access the pipeline, including the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale, Marcellus and Utica shales, East Texas and the Arcoma and Andarko basins.
Zone 1 of the pipeline connects the Carthage Hub to the Perryville markets and has bi-directional flow capabilities to deliver to Perryville and through Zone 2 to deliver to Golden Pass Pipeline and Energy Transfer’s Trunkline system.
The Gulf Run pipeline adds to Energy Transfer’s inventory of 120,000 miles of pipeline and related infrastructure across 41 states. In Louisiana alone, the company operates more than 8,800 miles of pipeline.
