Lower 48 states added 16 Bcf to the nation’s natural gas storage for the week ending April 11, breaking a four-week trend of above-average injections, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported.
Working gas in storage was 1.846 Tcf. Stocks were 480 Bcf less than last year at this time and 74 Bcf below the five-year average of 1.920 Tcf.

The small addition reflects the cold weather that moved through the U.S. during the latter half of the week, bringing snow to areas as far south as the Texas panhandle. Natural gas front-month futures prices at the Henry Hub had remained steady by midday on April 17, trading at $3.28/MMBtu, the same closing price from the day before.
