The planned 4,000-ft. well will be in Section 25-24n-12w, Wexford Township. The nearest production comes from Silurian Niagaran about 4.5 miles west-northwest in the area of Wexford 18 and 20-24n-12w fields. That production is from zones below 6,000 ft. There is no Dundee production in the county, according to IHS Energy. 6 A remote wildcat in a nonproducing township in St. Clair County in southeastern Michigan has been scheduled by West Bay Exploration Co., Traverse City, Mich. The company's #1-12 Valdesuso is in Section 12-7n-15e, Kenockee Township, about seven miles northeast of Emmett. The well will look at Niagaran at 4,100 ft. The planned well is about five miles southwest of a noncommercial Blaine Field discovery that pumped five bbl. of oil and two bbl. of water a day from Dundee between 833-88 ft. The closest Niagaran production is seven miles south-southwest in Wales 16-6n-15e Field, which produces gas from A-1 Carbonate and Niagaran. 7 Finite Resources Ltd., Harrisburg, Ill., received a permit for a wildcat in Section 12-14n-14w to look for pay in Mississippian at 1,000 ft. in western Edgar County in eastern Illinois. The #1-12 Roll will be about two miles south and slightly east of the town of Brocton. The wellsite is more than two miles northeast of a lone Pennsylvanian discovery completed in 1989 for two bbl. of oil and 15 bbl. of water a day from a zone between 218-33 ft. That well was bunched into Warrenton-Borton Field, in which the main body is two to four miles south and southwest. The nearest well to penetrate Mississippian was a dry hole less than a mile north of the Finite Resources well. That well reached the top of the Lower Mississippian (Carper) at 500 ft., Devonian at 689 ft. and Silurian at 760 ft. 8 Continuing its shallow drilling campaign in Harrison County, Ind., Quicksilver Resources Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, has staked the #C3-22 Breeden wildcat in Section 22-4s-3e with a projected depth of 1,050 ft. in the New Albany Shale.
