Paradigm provides enterprise resource planning software to the upstream petroleum industry. • ADB Systems Inc. and EnergyPortal.Com LLC have agreed to form an alliance integrating ADB's business-to-business e-procurement software with EnergyPortal.Com's e-business capabilities. • Chevron Corp., EDS, Raytheon, and The Information Store have formed UpstreamInfo.com, an independent company and e-business information portal and applications service provider for oil and gas companies. The site offers information on seismic and well log data, reservoir studies and petroleum training courses. It will soon offer information on acquisition and divestitures, production and drilling data, and public data, and other information. George Steel, former chairman, president and CEO of Scientific Software Intercomp, which was acquired by Baker Hughes Inc. in 1998, has been named to serve as the president and CEO of UpstreamInfo.com. • PricewaterhouseCoopers has launched PetroCore.com, a web site for information exchange in the exploration and production industry. The web-based subscription service is designed to reduce the cost of sharing information among operators and their joint-venture partners, royalty interest owners, service companies and regulators by reducing cycle times and improving the quality and timeliness of information exchanged. BP Amoco and Chevron are initial subscribers to PetroCore.
