Dr. Joseph DeCarolis Joins EIA as New Administrator

Dr. Joseph DeCarolis on April 11 began service as the 10th U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) administrator after being confirmed on March 31, according to an EIA press release.

In the role, he will provide leadership, planning and direction to fulfill the agency’s role as the nation’s premier source of independent, impartial energy information. He will oversee a wide range of statistical, analytical and dissemination activities that enable the mission. He also serves as a primary spokesperson for the agency, representing EIA in key government and industry forums.
