ConocoPhillips has appointed Kathleen McGinty to serve on its board of directors in a move that brings the board’s size to 13 members—11 independent.
McGinty will serve on the board’s public policy and sustainability committee and the audit and finance committee.
McGinty has over 30 years of public and private sector experience and has served as the senior vice president of the Environmental Defense Fund in Washington, D.C. She is currently the vice president and chief sustainability and external relations officer for Johnson Controls.
She also currently serves on several other boards, including the International Steering Committee of the World Sustainable Development Summit, American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, the Carnegie Mellon Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, and MN8 Energy (formerly Goldman Sachs Renewable Power, LLC).
