Common Energy expanded its portfolio of community solar projects in Illinois, Maryland and Oregon with 400 MW of renewable generation under management, the company announced in a June 14 news release.
The new deals expand Common Energy’s developer client base and add subscribers for the projects. Common Energy will acquire subscribers for the projects and manage subscriptions under long-term management contracts.
In addition, Common also promoted Christophe Charpentier to COO, who previously served as an associate partner at McKinsey.
“Christophe has impressed Common Energy’s board and partners with his client-first mindset, his operational and technical abilities and his commitment to our team and mission,” said Richard Keiser, founder and CEO of Common Energy. “I am confident that under Christophe’s leadership, Common Energy will continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients, supporting our future growth.”
Common Energy manages community solar projects and over their operating lifetimes will prevent over 6 billion lbs of carbon emissions and enable over $100 million dollars in savings for subscribers.
