ChampionX Corp. unveiled its advanced automation plunger lift well solution, the SMARTEN Unify control system, on Sep. 12.
The SMARTEN Unify control system is the first plunger lift controller in ChampionX’s SMARTEN product family. Unify was engineered with turnkey simplicity to integrate into existing IT and SCADA architectures and uses high-frequency data to provide live visibility into plunger cycle behaviors.
“Because of their lower flow rates, it’s historically been hard to justify investing in digital technologies on plunger lift wells,” said Jason Thompson, senior director of PCS Ferguson’s plunger lift sales and operations. “It’s exciting to see Unify remove the barriers and enable customers to apply advanced digital capabilities to their plunger lift assets.”
Unify’s low cost of ownership reshapes the digital adoption curve for the economic realities of tight-margin plunger lift wells.
