The assets include approximately 1,900 BOE per day. • NAL Resources Management Ltd., Calgary, has acquired central Alberta assets for C$125 million. The assets include more than 13,000 net undeveloped acres of land. Current production is approximately 3,800 BOE per day, consisting of approximately 2,200 bbl. of oil and 9.6 million cu. ft. of gas. Proved reserves are estimated at 10 million BOE. The price per barrel of oil equivalent is C$12.50, according to NAL. • Cequel Energy Inc. has completed the purchase of producing properties in the Gold Creek and Economy Creek areas of northwest Alberta for approximately C$32.5 million. • Canadian 88 Energy Corp., Calgary, plans to acquire RMX Exploration Ltd. for C$22.2 million in cash and the assumption of C$3.9 million of debt. The assets include estimated net production of 950 BOE per day and 1.9 million BOE of proved reserves. • Southward Energy, Calgary, is selling its entire interest in the Cherhill A Pool, Alberta, for C$11.8 million. Production is estimated at 520 BOE per day. Estimated proven reserves are 1 billion cu. ft. of gas and 1.1 million bbl. of oil. Additionally, Southward has acquired an additional working interest in the Alexis and Glauconite units in Alberta for C$2.5 million. Production from this transaction is estimated at 180 BOE per day. Castle River shareholders will receive one Atlas common share and 0.50 Atlas warrant per 1.65 Castle River common shares, with each whole warrant exercisable for one Atlas common share at C$1.65 for 18 months. Abingdon has principal properties at Smiley-Dewar, Saskatchewan, and Hays, Bow Island, Provost and Grassy Lake, Alberta. Current production is approximately 37 BOE per day. Abingdon's proven reserves are estimated at 327 million cu. ft. of gas and 1,700 bbl. of oil. Proven and probable reserves are estimated at 539 million cu. ft. of gas and 41,200 bbl. of oil. • Energy North Inc., Calgary, is selling production and land in the Provost and Sibbald areas of eastern Alberta for C$3.8 million prior to post-closing adjustments. Energy North's average daily output will initially drop by about 400 BOE a day, to 925 BOE per day. • Endless Energy Corp., Calgary, plans to acquire Nova Scotia Resources Ltd. for C$4 million from the province of Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia Resources owns working interests of 1.25% to 10% in 10 offshore discovery licenses with an estimated 45 billion cu. ft. of gas and 1.2 million bbl. of condensate, net to Endless Energy. • NCE Strategic Energy Management Corp. has acquired C$1,723,141 worth of shares of Crossfield Gas Corp. and Key West Energy. Crossfield is a private gas company with assets in the Westerose area of central Alberta. Key West has production of 6,161 BOE per day. • Pacific Amber Resources Ltd., Calgary, plans to acquire certain properties in the Wood River Area of Alberta from a privately held company for C$698,000 in cash and stock. The assets include production of 11 BOE per day and reserves of 35,670 BOE. • Holy Smoke Capital plans to acquire Carnico Oil & Gas Ltd., Calgary, for C$1.78 million. Carnico produces approximately 100 BOE per day in central Alberta. • Quest Investment Corp., Vancouver, has acquired 19.9% of Roseland Resources Ltd. at C$0.14 each.
