Dalmac Energy Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, (Toronto Venture: DAL) plans to acquire S Young Oilfield Ltd., a company engaged in "hydro vac" operations in the Fox Creek, Alberta, region, for C$850,000. This acquisition is complementary to services offered by Dalmac subsidiary McClelland Oil Services Inc.
Destiny Resource Services Corp., Calgary, (Toronto: DSC) has acquired Kodiak Nav Solutions Ltd., a provider of navigation, positioning and asset-management technology, for C$1.9 million, part in cash and the balance in 5.5 million Destiny shares.
Peak Energy Services Trust, Calgary, (Toronto: PES) has acquired certain operating assets of Alberta-based Sandman Rentals Inc. for C$660,000 cash. Sandman provides high-capacity, flow-back tanks and related transportation services in the shallow-gas fracturing and testing market in southern Alberta. Peak expects these assets will allow it to better meet the growing demand for this product line within this region.
