Baker Hughes appointed Georgia Magno as chief legal officer effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to a Dec. 12 press release.
Magno will be responsible for the company’s legal and regulatory affairs, corporate governance and compliance functions, the release stated.
Magno joined the company in 2010 and holds 20 years of management and legal experience, including previously serving as Baker Hughes’ general counsel for global supply chain and vice president and general counsel for the company’s industrial and energy technology business segment. She also held roles across commercial, operational and product line organizations, according to the release.
“With more than a decade of leadership within the company, Georgia will play a pivotal role in delivering Baker Hughes’ purpose to take energy forward and collaborating to solve for the energy trilemma of security, sustainability and affordability,” said Lorenzo Simonelli, chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, in the release.
Prior to Baker Hughes, Magno was an international litigator with law firms Cleary Gottlieb and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
