Baker Hughes Co. has promoted Ahmed Moghal to CFO of the energy technology company, effective immediately, following Nancy Buese’s departure from the position, Baker Hughes said Feb. 24.
Buese will remain with the company as a strategic adviser until April 30.
Moghal previously served as the senior vice president and CFO of Baker Hughes’ industrial and energy technology business. Prior to that, Moghal served in various business and corporate roles in the company, including as a financial planning and analysis leader during Baker Hughes’ merger with GE Oil & Gas in 2017.
“As part of his previous roles in Baker Hughes, and as well as currently leading free cash flow efforts across the company, Moghal has developed unique insights into our business and broad portfolio that will ensure we efficiently allocate capital to drive profitable growth while remaining focused on continuous margin improvement,” said Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli. “We are confident he is the right person to help us deliver on our financial objectives and support a culture of innovation and a growth mindset across the company.”
