Anaergia Inc. has plans to build nine biomethane production facilities from agro-industry waste in Portugal, Spain and Italy in a partnership with Capwatt Biomethane Unipessoal, the company said on April 21.
Anaergia will design the facilities with a range of its proprietary systems, including anaerobic digesters. The facilties will produce a total of 556,000 megawatt-hours per year of biomethane.
The projects will be completed within the next three years and generate more than CA$60 million (~US$43.35 million) in revenue for Anaergia as the developer.
