Oil and gas trade association American Petroleum Institute (API) named Amanda Eversole executive vice president and chief advocacy officer, a press release announced on June 9.
Eversole's responsibilities in the role include leading the company's integrated advocacy efforts across federal government relations, state government relations and external mobilization departments.
Additionally, API promoted Shannon DiBari to the role of senior vice president of business, operations and strategy, where she will oversee the company's day-to-day business operations.
“I am humbled to take on this new challenge as part of a world-class organization that is showing America’s leaders all the ways our industry is solving America’s greatest energy challenges," Eversole said in the release. “We have an exceptional API team and strong membership, and I look forward to the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for this organization, our industry and our country.”
Prior to her new role, Eversole served as API's executive vice president and COO, where she led the development of the company's strategic plan and formation of its guiding principle, as well as streamlines API's business operations and accelerated diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at the company and across the industry.
Before joining API, Eversole led JPMorgan Chase's public affairs team and held several senior-level positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
DiBari previously served as a senior advisor, joining API in 2018. Before that, she held the roles of executive vice president and COO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In 2022, Eversole was named one of Hart Energy's '25 Influential Women in Energy' for her work at API. Additionally, she will be giving the afternoon keynote address at Hart's DUG East Conference on June 14, where she will speak on how the Pennsylvania senate race is affecting the energy industry.
