Altus Power Inc. announced on April 21 it finished the development and construction of a four-megawatt ground-mounted solar system in Providence County, Rhode Island, with one of its construction partners.
The solar system will power a local public school system and provide clean electricity at a reduced rate compared to its current electric bill.
“We believe our in-house development expertise is a pivotal advantage for Altus and this project is one of several we plan to complete this year,” said Lars Norell, co-CEO of Altus Power.
Altus Power is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and is a commercial-scale clean electrification company.
