Altus Power, the largest commercial scale provider of clean electric power, announced the acquisition of an 8.5-megawatt (MW) solar array in New Jersey on June 24.
The ground-mounted project generates clean, electric power that will be sold to PJM, the local independent system operator, as well as solar renewable energy credits. The project also increases the size of Altus’ New Jersey portfolio to 185.5 MW in aggregate.
The project is expected to produce approximately 9 million kilowatt-hours in the next 12 months, the equivalent of avoiding more than 6,100 metric tons of CO2 annually.
