Alliance Resource Partners LP named Cary P. Marshall senior vice president and CFO effective April 1, 2023, according to a press release on Dec. 9.
Marshall will succeed current CFO Brian L. Cantrell, who will retire next year but remain with Alliance through March 31, 2023.
"Brian played a critical role in the Partnership’s growth and financial strength during his tenure, and we wish him and his family all the best in his retirement," chairman, president and CEO Joseph W. Craft III commented in the release.
Cantrell joined Alliance in October 2003 as senior vice president and CFO after serving as president of AFN Communications LLC from 2001 to 2003. With extensive experience in the finance and accounting fields, he held leadership roles with Brighton Energy LLC and KCS Medallion Resources Inc. prior to his tenure at AFN.
Marshall has served as vice president of corporate finance and treasurer of Alliance since May 2003. Prior to this, he held multiple corporate financing and marketing positions at MAPCO Inc., Alliance's predecessor entity, which he joined in 1989.
"We are confident that Cary's extensive knowledge of the business coupled with more than three decades of related experience will allow us to maintain our financial discipline and principles while advancing the performance and practices of the organization," Craft continued.
