Crescent Point Energy has officially plowed $1 billion into the Duvernay Formation. After signing its third deal since 2021, Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. analyst Matt Murphy said the Canadian company’s newest bolt-on locks in “north of 20 years” of inventory, along with pipelines and other goodies. Some big names are teaming up to explore geothermal power from abandoned oil and gas wells. Baker Hughes, Chesapeake, Continental Resources and INPEX announced the partnership on Dec. 8. Where are they starting their efforts? Read about it here.
