Regulators have signed off on the mega-merger between Canadian Pacific Railway and Kansas City Southern. The $27 billion acquisition of KCS will create a rail network stretching from the Canadian oil sands into Mexico, with the deal to close as early as April 14. A solar company buying the century-old Minerva-Rockdale oil field? That's what all-of-the-above energy company Principal Solar is after, announcing its intent to buy up the historic field in Milam County, Texas, and acquire nearly 11,000 gross acres and 936 total production and disposal wells. 

New Fortress Energy divested its interest in a floating liquefaction facility in a deal with Golar LNG to sell its minority stake in the floating LNG facility for a hundred million in cash and the return of 4.1 million NFE shares, allowing New Fortress to focus solely on its own floating LNG portfolio.
