Just last month, Patterson UTI announced plans to merge with NexTier Oilfield Solutions to create a $5.4 billion services giant. Now they're acquiring drill bit manufacturer, Ulterra Drilling Technologies, expanding its market share and drilling and completions. What's their next acquisition?
Ring Energy divested acreage in the Permian Basin as the E&P works to shore up its balance sheet and reduce debt. Ring disclosed selling its non-core asset position in the Delaware Basin to an undisclosed buyer and is also looking to sell more. The company is currently marketing assets on the New Mexico side of the Permian.
Many U.S. electric utilities are streamlining their operations to shift away from fossil fuels towards cleaner energy sources, including solar and wind to meet their climate goals, including utility firm Duke Energy, who's selling its commercial distributed generation business to private equity firm ArcLight Capital Partners. The deal includes operating renewable energy assets, as well as a pipeline of projects in development.
