Valeura Energy reported increased oil production rates and new targets after a five-well program in the Manora Field in the Gulf of Thailand.
The company’s working interest share oil production rose to 2,866 bbl/d in the most recent 14-day period from 2,144 bbl/d in December. The company also plans to evaluate three to five new potential drilling targets as a result of the program.
“While the Manora field accounts for only about 10% of our year-to-date production, it is an excellent example of the potential for Gulf of Thailand fields to add many years of economic field life through targeted ongoing activity,” CEO Sean Guest said in a release.
Valeura holds a 70% operated working interest in License G1/48 in Manora. Valeura's contracted drilling rig is now drilling on the Jasmine C wellhead platform offshore Thailand.
