Transocean’s Dhirubhai Deepwater KGI drillship has been contracted for six wells offshore India by Reliance Industries Ltd., Transocean announced Sept. 4.
The estimated 300-day program will begin in the second quarter of 2026 and is estimated to contribute approximately $123 million in backlog, excluding additional services and a mobilization fee.
The contract award also includes multiple options that if exercised, the rig will continue in India through the end of 2029.
