Interoil Exploration and Production ASA’s subsidiary Interoil Colombia Exploration and Production has successfully completed a downhole intervention to the Vikingo well in Colombia, the company announced Nov. 11.
The intervention included the installation of a jet pump with a modified operational configuration, which restored oil production to 400 bbl/d, an increase from the pre-intervention level of 105 bbl/d.
While production is expected to stabilize at around 200 bbl/d, the new jet pump configuration has improved operational efficiency by reducing lifting costs.
