1 US
Chesapeake Operating Inc. has completed three Wyoming County, Pa., Marcellus Shale wells in Mehoopany Field. The wells were drilled from a pad in Section 3, Jenningsville 7.5 Quad, Windham Township. The #101HC Deer Park was drilled to 21,684 ft (8,354 ft true vertical) and tested after 57-stage fracturing flowing 61.977 MMcf of gas from perforations at 8,534 ft to 21,670 ft. The #102HC Deer Park has a total depth of 21,370 ft (true vertical depth of 8,374 ft). It was tested after 52 stages of fracture stimulation flowing 62.618 MMcf/d of gas from perforations at 8,249 ft to 20,485 ft. The #103HC Deer Park flowed 54.687 MMcf/d of gas. It was drilled to 17,933 psi, and the true vertical depth is 8,134 psi. It was tested after 40-stage fracturing from perforations at 7,973 ft to 17,918 ft.
2 Trinidad
Touchstone Exploration has announced production test results from #1-ST1 Cascadura on the Ortoire exploration block in Trinidad. The testing was performed in two stages. The first stage included the lower-most 162 ft of pay in Herrera, and the second stage included 345 ft of pay in the upper part of the same horizon. The first stage flow test indicated an IP range between 7.75 MMboe/d and 9.7 MMboe/d (approximately 40 MMcf/d to 50 MMcf/d of gas and an estimated 1.1 Mbbl/d to 1.4 Mbbl/d of gas liquids). The second stage had a peak flowback rate of 5.76 MMboe/d, including 29.4 MMcf of gas and 865 bbl/d of NGL. Wireline logs and drilling samples indicated approximately 1,037 ft of prospective hydrocarbon pay in the Cruse and Herrera formations at depths between 1,030 ft and 6,350 ft. Calgary, Alberta-based operator Touchstone holds an 80% working interest, and partner Heritage Petroleum Co. Ltd. holds a 20% working interest.
3 UK
Paris-based Total SA has announced results from discovery at #30/12d-11 Isabella in offshore U.K. license P1820. The well was drilled in a water depth of about 80 m. It encountered 64 m net pay of lean gas and condensate and high-quality light oil in Upper Jurassic and Triassic sandstone reservoirs. Additional testing and data analysis are planned to assess the resources and to determine the appraisal program required to confirm commerciality. The P1820 license is operated by Total with a 30% working interest, with Neptune Energy (50%), Ithaca Energy (10%) and Euroil Exploration (10%).
