From an alliance for cross-compression services to a boost in 4D seismic acquisition activity in Northern Europe, below is a compilation of the latest headlines in the E&P space.

ZENRG, T.D. Williamson Form Alliance for Cross-Compression Services

ZENRG Services Inc., which provides recompression services for the energy sector, has formed a strategic alliance with pipeline technology and services firm T.D. Williamson (TDW). The companies will partner to deliver comprehensive cross-compression services.

The alliance integrates ZENRG's cross-compression capabilities with TDW's pipeline services, including hot tapping and isolation, pigging, in-line inspection and repair.

"Partnering with ZENRG expands our ability to help operators deliver on emission reductions goals while maintaining safe operations,” said Jeff Wilson, vice president of corporate development at T.D. Williamson.

ZENRG uses patented processes to transfer gas and liquids to nearby vessels and pipelines, retaining the product's value instead of releasing it to the atmosphere and reducing emissions.

Sentinel Subsea Completes North Sea Project

Sentinel Subsea, a provider of subsea well integrity monitoring solutions, has completed a project to deploy two WellSentinel Coral systems for an unnamed operator in the North Sea. This project supports a large-scale drilling operation, Sentinel said.

The systems continuously monitored the integrity of the wells throughout the suspension period. The deployment began and was completed in February 2025. It's the first time this️ technology has been implemented at the start of a well’s life cycle.

The systems were installed from the jackup onto 18 3/4-inch wellheads through the Texas deck via crane wire. Preconfigured for detection before installation, the systems streamlined the deployment process, eliminating the need for in-well intervention.

Thunderhead, Harbert to Develop New Power Plants for Data Centers

Thunderhead Energy Solutions LLC, a developer of behind-the-meter power solutions for data centers, has secured a funding relationship with Harbert Management Corp. to develop up to 1,500 megawatts of new power generation capacity.

The companies plan to work exclusively on deploying onsite power solutions to support data center needs. Thunderhead’s customized solutions incorporate natural gas generation while maintaining the flexibility to integrate renewable energy resources.

"This partnership allows us to rapidly scale the deployment of behind-the-meter solutions, addressing both the immediate need for reliable power and the long-term sustainability goals of our customers," said Chuck Marvin, co-founder of Thunderhead.

TGS Boosts Acquisition Activity in Northern Europe

Energy data and intelligence provider TGS is increasing its seismic acquisition activity in Northern Europe this summer 2025. TGS has deployed a total of four acquisition vessels in the region, three seismic vessels and one offshore wind vessel, doubling the company’s capacity compared to 2024.

The three seismic streamer vessels are engaged in production on 4D seismic contracts. TGS has been awarded a total of seven 4D contracts in Northern Europe this summer, amounting to approximately 280 acquisition days.

In addition to the ongoing 4D acquisition projects, the Ramform Vanguard mobilized for an offshore wind site characterization contract offshore the U.K. in late 1Q for a repeat customer. TGS said the project is progressing as planned.

The vessel will then undertake another offshore wind site characterization contract, also offshore the U.K.
