Greg Salerno joined Hart Energy as director of marketing in 2010 and helped launch its re-branding; he was promoted in January 2015. He has company-wide responsibility for branding and marketing processes and plays a key role in corporate marketing strategy. He is also an advisor to operations management for messaging, brand strategy and product development. He brings 30+ years’ oil and gas industry experience to bear, having carried communications, advertising and marketing responsibilities for Fortune 500 companies like Weatherford International and BJ Services (now Baker-Hughes). His award-winning advertising agency experience includes copywriting, strategy and creative direction for clients including Exxon Chemical, Conoco, Vetco-Gray, TEPPCO, Vista Chemical, 3M and others. A certified business communicator, he served as Houston chapter president for the Business Marketing Association (BMA) and as a national BMA director. He started his career as a reporter and editor in news media and trade publications after earning his Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
