Description

IHS Markit reported that Tulsa-based WPX Energy Inc. has completed two high-rate, extended-reach horizontal Three Forks producers from two drillpads on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in Mountrail County, N.D. The #13-24HW Mandan North is in Section 12-150n-93w and was tested flowing 3.433 Mbbl of oil, 1.944 MMcf of gas and 1.397 Mbbl of water per day. Production is from a horizontal lateral extending from 11,098 ft southwestward to 20,822 ft, 10,699 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 24-150n-93w and was tested on a 28/64-in. choke following 51-stage fracturing between 11,314 and 20,637 ft. Approximately 1 mile to the west in Section 11-150n-93w, #14-23HX Hidatsa North is producing 3.291 bbl of oil, 2.687 MMcf of gas and 1.821 Mbbl of water per day. It was tested on a 26/64-in. choke following a 51-stage fracturing between 11,421 and 21,239 ft. The lateral extends from 11,361 ft south-ward to 21,419 ft, 10,808 ft true vertical, and it bottomed in Section 23-150n-93w.23-150n-93w.
