Mewbourne Oil Co. reported results from an Eddy County, N.M., Wolfcamp discovery. The #001H Chicago 9 8 W0PM Fee is in Section 9-24s-28e and was drilled to 19,585 ft and bottomed in Section 8 with a true vertical depth of 9,460 ft. It was tested flowing 416 bbl of oil, 1.044 MMcf of gas and 3,604 bbl of water per day. Production at the Purple Sage Field well is from perforations at 9,815-19,550 ft. Gauged on a 32/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 1,600 psi.
